Investigation of Gamasid Mite of The Small Mammal in Southwestern Sichuan Province

Abstract:37 species (1909 individusla) of gamasid mite were collected from July~October, 1987 to April~November, 1988 in southwestern Sichuan Province. Those gamasid mites’s hosts, location and prevalence of infestation are recorded in this paper. The prevalences of infestation of the dominant hosts such as Rattus niviventer, Apodemus chevrieri, Apodemus latronum, Eothenomys melanogaster and Pitymys irene are 49.32%, 23.92%, 7.45%, 7.37 and 4.17%, respectively.
