Morphological and Biomechanical Study of Vertebra and Rib in Inbreed Line Banna Minipic

Abstract:The morphology of anatomy and histology of vertebra and rib, and vertical compression on lumbar vertebrae in inbreed line Banna minipig were studied. The results showed that the vertebra and rib in Banna minipig had no significant differences to that of human in morphology of anatomy and histology. The lumba vertebrae of the pig can bear human’s physiological load. Consequently, the vertebra and rib in Banna minipig can be used in pig-human bone heterotransplantation.
