Application of Acute Normovoletic Hemodilution During Orthotopic Liver Transplantation in Pigs

Abstract:Objective To observe the changes of hemodynamic and coagulation function during orthotopic liver transplantation after application of acute normovoletic hemodillution (ANH) with HAES-steril 6%. Methods Sixteen healthy pigs with weight of 2030 kg wre randomly allocated into Group Ⅰ(control group, n=9) and Group Ⅱ(experiment group, n=7). The vono-venous bypass was established during anhepatic stage. In the operation period, normal maintenance fluids and collection of blood would be administered in both 2 groups, but HAES-steril 6^ applied to ANH before anhepatic stage in Group Ⅱ. The right carotic artery was cannulated for blood pressure monitoring and collection of blood biochemical sample in perioperation period. Result The hemodynamic and coagulation function of all pigs were normal during perioperation period in both 2 groups. Conclusion There is no obviously changes in the blood coagulation and the hemodynamics after application of ANH during orthotopic liver tansplantation.
