Abstract:The fieldwork on Rhombomys opimus has been made in Ganjiahu Wilderness H. persicum State Nature Reserve in Jinhe County from 2002 to 2003. Measures as plots-area with traps, blocking-up-opened-burrow, all-captured-in-plots were taken to capture Rhombomys opimus, and consequently 173 including male 94, female 79 were captured. All of them were divided into 5 age groups mainly based on body weight excluding viscera as the major index. After being calculated by the method of Leslie matrix, the dynamic of the population number would keep a relatively stable level in the next few years and would not break out in large quantity.
