A New Record of Myotis altarium in Shaanxi Province

Abstract:One male specimen is identified as Myotis altarium (Chiroptera, Myotis), which was collected in a cave (31°44.888′N,109°22.736′E,H: 1290 m a.s.l.), Zhenping county, Ankang city, Shaanxi province, on 16 April,2010, and which is the first record for this species in Shaanxi Province. The specimen is kept in the Shaanxi Institute of Zoology. We presented the measurement of externality and skull, and referred briefly to its distribution and protective status in this paper.
