Two New Species of Genus Scionecra (Phasmida: Diapheromeridae: Necrosciinae) from China and Vietnam

Abstract:

Two new species, Scionecra huai Ho, sp. nov. and Scionecra maculata Ho, sp. nov., of the genus Scionecra from ChinaandVietnam, were presented in this study. The type specimens of the new species were deposited in theMuseumofBiology,SunYat-SenUniversity,Guangzhou.

1. Scionecra huai Ho, sp. nov. (Figs. 1)

This new species is similar to Scionecra microptera (Redtenbacher, 1908), but differs in elongate posterolateral angles of ninth abdominal tergum and short cerci which is shorter than anal segment.

2. Scionecra maculata Ho, sp. nov. (Figs. 2)

This new species is similar to Scionecra microptera (Redtenbacher, 1908), but differs in elongate posterolateral angles of ninth abdominal tergum and broadly emarginated hind margin of anal segment.
