Abstract: The purpose of the present study was to investigate expression of NOD1 and NOD2 genes in reproductive system of male yak (Bos grunniens). Semi-quantitation RT-PCR was used for analyzing the expression profiles of the NOD1 and NOD2 mRNA. The results showed that the expression level of NOD1 was relatively low in spleen, testis, epididymis, spermaduct and penis, while NOD2 was abundant in these tissues. These results suggested that NOD1 and NOD2 genes may play an important role in reproduction of male yak.
