Abstract：Quality and availability of habitat are critical factors for animal survival. Habitat use becomes a vital important problem for wildlife protection and management. The development of habitat use is a long process from 1920s including various current research methods and techniques. However, there are advantages and disadvantages of each method in practice work, which may affect the data collection. This study mainly illustrated the advantages and disadvantages of current methods/techniques on data collection of habitat use, and showed the direction of future method/technique development. This can help the researchers in choosing or creating methods on habitat use study.
