Abstract:The living traces and population density of pheasant in different habitats has been investigated by the method of quadrats and equation D=N/B. The results showed that the most traces of nests and excrements were in shrub or place with thick growth of grass but the most traces of digging up food were at farm field. The population density (NO. pheasant/km2) was 56 in grass slope, 78 in savanna-shrub-grass slope and 156, the highest, in shrub-grass slope.
